According to the official blog post , Google has announced the name of Android Q. It is not named after sweets as before, nor does it start with any letter starting with the letter Q, but simply calls it Android 10.
The company says it is changing the way its releases are named. The company wrote:
Over the years, we have heard a lot of feedback, and our naming is not always understood by everyone in the global society.Google says that the actual reason for changing the name is not that Q has difficulty finding the actual dessert name, but that desserts are not very inclusive, such as pie is not always dessert, and lollipops are difficult to pronounce in some areas. Marshmallow is not even a dessert in many places.
In other words, the names of some previous versions of Android, although interesting, did not resonate with all users, and the company believed that it was "time to make this change."
Google said that it will be officially released within a few weeks. In addition to changes to the Android naming, new features have been added to Android 10, not just content released on Google I / O in May. It updated the logo of the mobile platform, which changed the text from green to black for easy reading, converting fonts, and using a close-up robot, which is now a new green.
Bubbles
As you can see in the screenshot below, when you trigger Bubbles with an active call, a small circle displays a photo of the contact. When dragging Bubbles, you can see two options at the bottom of the screen: Hide and End Call. As long as you drag the icon to any of the options, this operation will be triggered. With one click of Bubbles, several options also appear, such as enabling speakers or mute calls.
Wi-Fi and QR Code
Android 10 has a new feature that allows you to create a QR code for a Wi-Fi network, or scan a QR code to join a Wi-Fi network directly in your device's Wi-Fi settings. To use this new feature, go to Wi-Fi settings and select your home network, then the share button with a small QR code on it. This avoids the embarrassment of sharing passwords with others or asking others for passwords.
Undo app removal
With Android 10, you can also undo changes a few seconds after the app is deleted, find the "Undo" button at the bottom of the screen, and tap to restore the app.
Privacy setting
Android 10, there is a dedicated privacy module in the settings application. Opening it will display the application's requirements for various permissions such as calendar, location, camera, contacts, and microphone, making it more difficult to find and revoke permissions for specific applications easily.
Notification control
Selecting Alerting will allow the app to sound every new notification, while Silent will not make a sound or the phone vibrates. You can further adjust the behavior of notifications by going to Settings> Apps & notifications> Notifications. This change allows selection of options to be set as long as you press and hold.
