5G storms, vivo launches commercial mobile phone in the third quarter - Akoenz

Looking at the current status of global 5G development, more than 10 countries have completed 5G spectrum licenses. The United States and South Korea began to launch 5G mobile services in April. The United Kingdom announced that it will begin 5G commercialization at the end of May.

China ’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued 5G commercial licenses to four operators in June, a little earlier than expected. Although 5G services have not been officially launched, many mobile phone manufacturers such as Huawei, OPPO, ZTE, vivo, OnePlus, Lenovo and Xiaomi, etc. They are all ready in the 5G mobile phone market.

At the Shanghai Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019, vivo demonstrated multiple 5G-enabled smart devices, applications, and new technologies, including smartphones, AR glasses, smart watches, and smart headphones.

Vivo announced that the first 5G commercial mobile phone will be launched in the third quarter of 2019. In addition, Vivo demonstrated a series of 5G applications at the scene, including 5G cloud games, 5G wireless projection screens, 5G mutual transmission and other smart living scenarios.

Vivo also showed the first AR glasses, which supports dual-screen different display and 6DoF technology. After connecting to a mobile phone, the innovative dual-screen different display interaction can realize mobile office, AR games, 3D high-definition video, and people identification.
