Huawei released the HUAWEI nova 5 series of mobile phones on the 21st. Its Kirin 810 processor is also exposed for the first time. The Kirin 810 is a mid-level processor, built using a 7-nanometer process. Out of patriotism under the Sino-US trade war, Chinese netizens used professional running software AnTuTu to compare and test Kirin 810 and Qualcomm ’s newly released Snapdragon 730 chip in April; the result is that Kirin 810 beat Snapdragon 730.

Because Kirin 810 uses TSMC process technology and Snapdragon 730 uses Samsung technology, many netizens said that in fact it was TSMC that defeated Samsung and once again "win" South Korea.

Affected by the Sino-U.S. Trade war, Huawei has recently released a low-key nova 5 series phone and a new-generation Kirin 810 processor. Whether the performance of the Kirin 810 is strong enough to surpass Qualcomm and break the US ban and blockade has become the focus of attention of all parties.

Therefore, some netizens used professional running software AnTuTu to compare and test the Kirin 810 and Qualcomm ’s newly released Snapdragon 730 chip and the old Snapdragon 835 chip in April. AnTuTu is a software specifically for evaluating the performance of hardware devices such as smartphones. The testing scope includes GPU, CPU, image processing, information security, etc. It is the number one evaluation tool for global users.

According to the test results, Kirin 810 beats Snapdragon 730 by 207 thousand points with a score of 237,000. This time, Huawei won Qualcomm.

But from behind, TSMC has won Samsung. Kirin and Snapdragon represent the manufacturing technologies of TSMC and Samsung, respectively. Snapdragon 730 is Qualcomm's latest processor. It uses Samsung's 8-nanometer process for the first time, and its performance is 35% higher than the previous version of Snapdragon 710.

As for Kirin 810, it uses TSMC's 7-nanometer process technology. According to Huawei's official introduction, compared to the 8-nanometer process, 7-nanometer technology improves chip performance by 20% and transistor density by 50%. On the other hand, in addition to the Snapdragon 855 chip, in addition to the Snapdragon 855 using TSMC 7 nanometer technology, the new 7 series products mostly use Samsung's 10 technology, and the latest Snapdragon 730 is 8 nanometers.
